If you choose as a form of payment prior transfer or deposit, you will be provided with our account numbers to make the corresponding payment. You can make a bank transfer from your bank or if you prefer, make an account deposit from a branch. Once the payment is received, your order will be sent by transport. For what reason can my credit card be declined?

Your card may be declined for one of the following reasons:

  • The card could be expired. Check that your card does not exceed the validity date.
  • The card limit may have been reached. Check with your bank that the card has not exceeded the amount allowed to make purchases, as well as the limit for visa transactions in installments.
  • It may be that some data entered is incorrect. How do car rental refunds work with different payment methods?

At the time of rental, you will be required to secure a credit card authorization, debit card authorization, or provide cash for the estimated rental cost. In addition to the anticipated rental amount, an additional amount may be required. This additional amount may depend on, but is not limited to, the pick-up location, the rental dates, the size of the vehicle you wish to rent, etc.

If you want to find out the estimated cost of your rental:

  • Simply start the reservation process online.
  • Be sure to include all of your information, such as the location, rental dates, and the size of the vehicle.
  • Confirm that you meet the age requirements and select any optional additional items you wish to rent, such as: coverage offered, GPS, car seat, etc.; this information will be included in the total.

Note: Additional driver fees cannot be added until you arrive at the rental counter.

If you are satisfied with your total:

  • Just confirm the reservation.
  • At the point of return, the renter will receive the difference after the rental charges are deducted from the original amount charged.
  • If a renter secures their rental with a credit card, but plans to pay in cash when returning the vehicle, Puntancanarentacar.com will credit the renter’s credit card at the time the vehicle is returned.
  • If a renter insures their rental with cash, they will receive the refund at the point of return or by mail, according to the office.

Note: Not all offices accept cash.

If a renter secures their rental with a debit card, their refund will be processed the same day. The time it takes to reflect on the tenant’s account will depend on their banking institution, so tenants should allow approximately 5-10 business days.
